IPTV UK on Roku

Roku has two routes: a proper player from the Channel Store, or casting from your phone. Both are below.

IBO Player Pro

  1. 1.Find IBO Player Pro in the Roku Channel Store and add it.
  2. 2.Open it and go to Account. Note the MAC address and Device Key shown there.
  3. 3.On a phone or computer, go to iboproapp.com, open Manage Playlists and sign in with that MAC address and Device Key.
  4. 4.Choose Add XC Playlist, name it, and enter the server, username and password from your WhatsApp message.
  5. 5.Back on the Roku, restart the app and pick the playlist you added.
Worth knowing. The app is free for seven days, then a one-off payment on iboproapp.com with the same MAC address and Device Key. A year of it comes with the 12-month plan.

Casting from a phone

  1. 1.Install Web Video Cast on an Android or iOS phone.
  2. 2.Open the menu, choose IPTV and add your playlist address.
  3. 3.Tap the cast icon and pick the Roku. Both need to be on the same Wi-Fi.

IBO Player Pro is the Roku route, and casting covers the rest. Samsung and LG tellies take a player from their own store, and a Firestick gets you every player for a few quid. See the channel list before you set up.
